With COVID cases under control and Alberta’s vaccination campaign underway, the province is finally starting to reopen. And that means that local events are able to move forward, including the beloved Food Truck Fridays and a concert from one of the biggest country acts in the world. Check out this list of can’t miss events in Red Deer this June.

Food Truck Drive & Dash

Red Deer Food Truck Drive & Dash at Westerner Park is officially back for 2021! From now until August 27th, the North West Parking Lot at Westerner Park will be turned into a temporary food truck festival every Thursday and Friday. On Thursdays, Red Deer Food Truck Drive & Dash will be on from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm, and on Fridays it will take place from 11:00am until 2:00 pm. This year’s food truck offerings include everything from Filipino cuisine, tacos, and fries to mini donuts, perogies, gourmet grilled cheese, and much more. Essentially, if you’re in the mood for it, you’re guaranteed to find it at one of the Drive & Dash food trucks.

Florida Georgia Line Concert

American country duo Florida Georgia Line are coming to Red Deer this month for an exclusive, drive-in concert. This one-night-only show will feature some of the band’s greatest hits, as well as songs from their new album, Life Rolls On. The concert will also feature Nelly & Chase Rice. Tickets start at $85 per vehicle (up to 6 people per vehicle), and it is all happening at Westerner Park on June 12th. 

Kaitlyn’s Ladybug Run

Get outdoors for a good cause this month with Kaitlyn’s Ladybug Run. Taking place on June 20th, this charitable event invites you to walk or run 1k, 3k, or 5k. The first 50 attendees to register will receive a free medal and all proceeds from the event will be donated to the Robb Nash Foundation.
