This July welcomes The Westerner Days Fair & Exhibition and you're invited!
The Westerners Day Fair & Exhibition brings together over 30,000 locals and volunteers as they celebrate the Maritime. This parade includes colourful marching bands, horse-drawn carriages, dignitaries, collector vehicles, livestock and of course candy! The Westerners Day Parade is a must see if you're visiting the Red Deer area. It's also the perfect opportunity to mingle with locals and learn more about our towns great history.
This parade is for all ages to enjoy. The parade will pass through the heart of Red Deer beginning on 19th street. As stated before, roughly 30,000 people attend each year so make sure you show up early to get a good spot! Lawn chairs and blankets are suggested for your own comfort as the parade does go for a couple of hours. Afterward will be various performances including a fireworks show and “Red Deer Motors Pony Chuckwagon Championships”. The parade will begin at 9:30 am and go until 11:00 am with other events lasting until 6:00 pm. No ticket purchase necessary.
