September and October events in Red Deer: Theatre, performance, and marathons
- August 31, 2017

There’s a lot to look forward to as we work up saying goodbye to summer and hello to autumn. Those long sunny days will be replaced by cooler weather and a whole host of awesome events in Red Deer. Visit during late September and into October, and you’ll be able to enjoy a locally produced theatre show, one of Las Vegas’ most fun shows, and a day of active fun right in the heart of the city.
Run for a cause
Want to see Red Deer in a unique way? Then why not saddle up the racing shoes and join in one of the races of the Oktoberfest Run? There’s a number of races: choice from a 5k, 10k, or go all out tackle the half marathon? It’s all in aid of a good cause - the Canadian Ski Patrol - and is sure to be a great day. If you’re not quite feeling active, then come along anyway - it’ll be a cracking atmosphere, especially at the after party venue, Bo's Bar and Grill.
A unique show
What could be better than seeing a show performed by world-famous juggler Gregory Popovich? His Comedy Pet show features the talents of more than thirty furry co-stars, in a performance that’s always a hit with families. Gregory will be bringing his show from Las Vegas to Red Deer on October 14, when he’ll be performing at the Black Knight Inn. Not to be missed!
Just a few lines
Local artist Paul Boultbee will be performing his show ‘Just a Few Lines’ at the Red Deer Museum + Art Gallery on October 1. The show is based on the words of Canadian soldiers, and is sure to be a great show.
You’ll be choosing the best hotel in Red Deer when you book your stay at Days Inn Red Deer, your home away from home.
